10 things in 2009

Here's hoping that 2009 brings nothing but happiness and sunshine.
I hereby resolve to:
1. lose weight! I truely want to and need to. I want to be healthy so I am going to try.
2. get organized. I need/want to get my house in tip top shape, so I don't feel guilty about doing stuff I want to do instead of cleaning!
3. I want to make my relationship with God stronger.
4. I need to just let go and enjoy Nick as best as I can. he is what he is and I just need to enjoy it.
5. become a better photographer. This is my passion, my love. I want to learn as much as I can and practice to become the best that I can be.
6. to let my friends and family KNOW that I love them.
7. To fall in love with my husband again and again. He amazes me and surprises me with how caring and giving he can be. I love him and I want him to know how much he means to me.
8. Spend quality time with my parents and to learn from them.
9. try to be on time for work 90% of the time.
10. I really want to take a photograph a day for the year and post it and blog everyday.

We went to Enterprise over the weekend to see Charlie's Mom. Saw alot of

friends (Mrs. Jackson, I was so thrilled to get to hug you) and saw some

Veterans Day

Today I had a rare day off in the middle of the week. I didn't feel that great, so I was glad I didn't have to go to work. For the record, it wasn't decided that I would have the day off of work until 5:00pm the day before, so i didn't get much of a chance to plan anything. I was up most of the night not feeling well. I took Nick to school and as we were pulling out of the garage, I noticed a wreck had just happened down the street from us. it must have JUST happened. When i returned home, the police and ambulance was just showing up. I went in and got my camera and out I went to stand in the dizzle and watch and shoot a few pictures. I hope no one was hurt badly. It took them a bit to get the person out of the truck. I won't know any info until the morning when the newspaper comes out. i took a nap this afternoon. it was nice. I made a spagetti dinner for my family, at my Dad's request ( he loves my spagetti) Charlie got home about 1:30 and after our nap, he made a fire in the fire place. It was nice, but I have to admit, I got really HOT ( darn menapause).

PIZZA! He made it last Sunday and here is what it looked like it before we

ate it all up! It was yummy! He can also makes the best cinnamon rolls from

scratch, but he hasn't done that in a long time. Maybe I can talk him into it!

Can you believe, we've got a Tornado watch in November! Thats crazy! Global warming?

Tomorrow, Mom and I are going to Kansas City. Part fun and part scary. I have to have my kidneys checked again for stones. Its been a little over a year since I had my two surgeries. Hopefully if the stones haven't started to grow back, I won't have to have anymore check ups for awhile. They are expensive! Thank Goodness for insurance. Charlie got some scary news yesterday. Cessna is doing some layoffs. All plants EXCEPT Independence. The Indy plant is doing really good. Still selling planes. Whew.. thank goodness for that too!

Today, I am leaving you with the cutest picture of me and my cousin Janet and her then boyfriend Wayne, later to be her husband. Aren't I the CUTEST thing! LOL ( By the way, I am the cute blonde!)

We decided to give Nick his birthday present early since his birthday is on Halloween and he'll be at his Dad's. Guess what he got?? We've had alot of fun with it so far! Mom laughed so hard she had a little accident! We'll call her "Janet" from now on! LOL

Thank you Granny and Papa! With their help we were able to get Nick a Wii Bundle. It is fun!

Little Miss Muffet....

Charlie saw a spider tonight, way up in the bushes. He hollered at me and I got my camera.

I think they look pretty cool. That spider was huge and now I can see how hairy he was.

He was soon put to sleep so he doesn't come into our house. If there is anything in this world that my husband doesn't like, its spiders! Look how pretty the spider web is. We couldn't even see it in real life, but the picture shows it well!

We will soon be headed towards Nebraksa for the weekend. I can't wait. I'll come back with some really cool pictures, I hope! Enjoy Spidy!

We went to Safari Zoo in Caney today. Its only 30 minutes from the house and I haven't been there in years. Did you see the article on Yahoo about the Golden Retriever nursing 3 baby white tiger cubs? THIS is the place where it happened. We went over there to see the cubs. They were soo cute. We weren't allowed to take pictures of them, because they are "copy righted".. or something. There is going to be a book written about them and maybe a movie. they've been on The Today show and Oprah. Animal Planet is going to be there Friday. Its so exciting. We got to see their Mom and Dad and their Adoptive Mom the Golden retriever, Isabella. I will post more pictures tomorrow. We were there about an hour and I took 310 pictures! I had a ball.
